Stress Eraser
From the first thing in the morning to the end of the day, something happens to you. You might say that you're just tired or stressed (and that's true), but something more profound happened:
Your soul got hungry.

Our inner selves are the foundation of all personal growth. If you go through the day trying to do your best, achieve, and help others, then not only will you get physically and mentally tired, but spiritually tired as well. It's this spiritual power that's needed to remake our mental and physical selves. Without it everything gets out of hand (relationships, work, etc.). With it we're able to completely remake ourselves. We can thrive in any situation and become more than we are, more like the Creator.

The Technique
First off, this is most effective if you do it every day at the same time, for as long as you can. Make it the most important start or end of your day. As everyone knows, once the day gets going, its hard to stop, and the longer you wait to stop, the harder it becomes. Next, make sure you can do this in total privacy, all alone: You have to have your space and be free to express yourself. Make this a solid priority. Don't let anything distract you. Further, attach no expectations of what will happen, but also believe that it will benefit you. Do this with as much effort as possible, with as much of your heart as possible, and be open to change. And lastly, forget yourself and completely focus on what you are doing: This is not a self-examination period, just pure expressions.

Here are the steps:

  • Be wholehearted. Use total effort. Hold nothing back, nothing.
  • Go to your private place at the same time every day.
  • Sit or kneel with your back straight up or lie down (just don't fall asleep).
  • Believe there will be benefit from what you are doing.
  • Be willing to accept new insights and follow guidance.
  • Once you begin, don't think about the benefits of the exercise.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Silently say everything that's on your mind. Feelings, thoughts, pictures, emotions, hurts, frustrations, hopes, dreams, prayers, thankfulness, anger, resentment, questions. Pour out the entire contents of your mind. Completely exhaust everything you think you can possibly express. Imagine yourself trying to fill up a large swimming pool with your thoughts, feelings, etc. You have to let it all pour out. This is a real "stream of consciousness." Do it for as long and intensely as you can.
  • Wait. Sit totally silent until the next thought comes in your mind. Then just express as you did before. Don't hold any significance to your thoughts now.
  • Repeat the process a couple times.
  • Sit and listen and believe you are being recharged. Expect nothing specific. Listen, listen, and listen more.
  • When you feel you want to stop, go and begin the day.
At first it will be hard to begin the habit. But, as time goes on, it will get easier and you'll feel tremendous change over time. It's like the action of the wind on sand dunes. There's a gradual change in your energy level, ever-increasing and building. Soon, you'll experience God in new ways. Dramatic new ways.

It's time for a dramatic new life.

"For one moment, forget the doubts, fears, and the intellectual arguments, and trust yourself, your
ability to know the truth and be right. If your life isn't working or satisfying, then only by admitting this will
you find more. Only by listening will you know and experience. Just listen with you heart and say, 'I am ready . . .'"

Your Spiritual Rights
Most everyone is somewhat familiar with the United States Bill of Rights. But, how many of us know about our spiritual rights? Fact is, you've got quite a few of them, and they can be the basis for the life you were meant to live. Life is meant to be an astounding adventure with family, good friends, great work, and stimulating challenges. Life is meant to be demanding and very rewarding, always moving forward, always evolving to greater fulfillment and re-creation of self. Think of something you don't like about yourself or a way you want to improve your soul: IT CAN BE DONE. It is your right. No matter what situation you find yourself in, good or bad, life can always become a transcendent fulfillment of your noblest hopes and a service to help others do the same.

The key is to put your entire being into the process and risk. Risk everything for growth. Sure, pay attention to the basics of home and food on the table, but allow yourself the adventure you are meant for. It's only when we follow our Creator's guidance and risk our current stasis that we see new opportunities and stretch. When we give our whole beings to the process, we are continually re-created, becoming more alive, happier, peaceful, etc. You get the idea . . .

What They Don't Want You to Know - Your Birthright
Many people just don't want us to know these basic cosmic rights. They have a lot of reasons, fear, control, laziness, etc. Who doesn't want us to know? Many times, it's the parts of ourselves that don't want to change. Often it's a friend or someone in an organization we belong to. It could even be an entire institution. Most of all, it's someone who doesn't want to see us change our lives or a person who cannot bear the thought of living a life based on these rights.

Truly, our birthright from God is completely independent of any human, human institution, or human rules. Our highest priority should be experiencing our birthright to the utmost. Risk, risk, and more risk. Growth, growth, and more growth. So, inspite of our fearful parts, others,  and institutions, we are going to claim our birthright. Since each one of us has the ability to know what is true, understand our guidance, and know God, we are given the following spiritual rights which constitute our birthright:

Your Birthright

These rights have no effect on how God feels about you or the way he treats you. God's love is unconditional. When you exercise your rights, you have nothing to fear from God. All God wants is your sincere striving to change, know truth, know Him, serve, and follow with total faith.

Choice
You have the right to use your being in any way you choose. You have the right to come up with your own spiritual way. You have the right to attend or not attend a church or other group. You have the right to craft your own life. You have the right to know God in your own way.

Nourishment
You will receive everything you need to grow--the desire to grow, guidance, strength, insight, etc. You will get everything you need when you need it, in the way you need it, for as long as you need it. This is God's basic gift.

Firsthand God
If you choose to listen to and experience God, if you wholeheartedly express this to God, you will have a firsthand experience of God. There are no other restrictions. Nothing can get in your way if you put out the effort-- not time, not mistakes-- nothing you can conceive of.

Relationships
The purpose of life is to have relationships and grow. It is your choice who you want to create a friendship or relationship with and how long to pursue it. The first and fundamental relationship is with God. Relationships are the greatest experience of life and a relationship with God is the most important.

Personal Beliefs
While different beliefs may slow or speed up your growth, you will progress as long as you are trying to know God and follow His leading. It is up to you to find your own truth and build a philosophy of living. It is your privilege to have your own beliefs about God. God will always be greater than your greatest conception of him. It is an eternal discovery process.

Growth
As you begin to live with God, you will grow. Again, nothing can get in the way. It is your right to grow in the way you want to grow. Growth is only dependent on your dedication to divine leading from within. You also have the right not to grow.

Spiritual Benefits
As you travel the path and work hard, you will receive many benefits. No one can get between you and God and the great things that will happen to your soul, the good things that will happen in your life, and the good things you will do for others.

Happiness
This is the promise of spiritual living. You have the right to find happiness in your own way.
No matter what your situation, you have a right to "pursue" a happy life for you and your friends and family. You have the right to achieve and accomplish and to rest and relax.

Service
The superb joy of helping others is one of your greatest rights. Opportunities are everywhere and appear as you express a desire to help others. Doing something for someone that they want done for them, that will help them, is life's supreme joy.

Reality
Every time you grow and become more than you were, you experience more of life, more of reality. You see, feel, know, and desire things you hadn't before. You become more empowered to realize your destiny and re-create your life. You become more real, more true, beautiful, and good. Nothing can stop you, no person, event, or circumstance.

Eternal Existence
If you sincerely try to follow divine leading and are willing to know God, are willing to help others, are willing to grow, then eternal living, life after death, is the natural outcome. If you are willing to put divine leading as your highest priority, then you are on your way. It is not what we achieve that is important, it is only that we are willing to grow that matters in this area. There are no other requirements. No one and no thing can get in the way. This is the life you are meant to live.

May all of us celebrate and live our cosmic rights to the fullest with faith and anticipation of an ever-improving life and world for ourselves, family, friends, and all others.
